Concert Park
The Concert Park is a new outdoor community space on Mack Avenue in Detroit's 48214 community, designed to bring people together through arts, culture, food, and recreation while supporting the revitalization of the corridor as a pedestrian-friendly area. Led by MACC Development, the project transforms an underutilized lot between The Commons and D&D Storage, integrating it into broader efforts to enhance Mack Avenue.
The planning process, guided by a stakeholder-driven, place-based approach, involved collaboration with City Form Detroit, MAde Studio, and Giffels Webster. The Mack Lot also aligns with ongoing public and private initiatives, including The Commons—a coin laundry and coffee bar—and the adaptive reuse of nearby properties, building on the 2015-16 Mack Avenue Corridor Development Plan to create a vibrant, community-centered space.
