Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and vital to neighborhood revitalization. Since 2018, MACC Development has been planning a small-scale commercial market at the corner of Mack Avenue and Seyburn Street, aiming to create a space where small businesses can incubate and innovate. Initially inspired by the idea of using shipping containers as building materials, the project shifted to traditional construction methods after a cost analysis revealed it would be more affordable and offer greater customization.
The market space is designed to bridge the gap between "startup and storefront" for small businesses in the 48214 area, transforming a once-vacant lot into a vibrant neighborhood hub. The vision includes a family-friendly environment with community gathering spaces, a walking path, and playscapes for children, contributing to the overall revitalization of the area.
